Section One: General Information
Safety
When you are working on any construction project, it is necessary to wear appropriate safety equipment to protect yourself. Wear a face shield, hearing protection, gloves, and long sleeves, particularly when cutting in confined spaces.
Planning
Plan a layout for your decking before starting it to ensure the best possible looking decking for your projects. Recommend drawing out a site plan of your proposed project that you intend to minimize errors and make your perfect decking.
Environment
Make sure the foundation is clean, flat and stable before you install the decking. Do NOT put Wallong® WPC Decking on a surface that is not flat. If the installation does not occur immediately Wallong’s products need to be put on a flat surface at all times.
Ventilation
Wallong® products CANNOT be directly installed onto a flat surface. It must be installed onto a flat substructure which is required to provide a minimum of 100mm(4 inches) of the continuous net-free area under the decking surface to allow adequate and unobstructed airflow under the decking to prevent excessive water absorption and promote drainage and drying.
